DBA Oracle & SQL Server
Based in Luxembourg, our client is a major bank specialising in clearing, custody and fund administration services.
The IT team is currently searching for a Database Administrator specialised in Oracle & SQL Server.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Install, configure, patch & maintain the Bank’s database systems : Oracle & MS-SQL Server
- Ensure availability and stability of main database systems, keeping the system up to date
- Ensure day to day activity
- Provide level 2 support for all database related matters
- Perform investigation on performance and recommend any improvement
- Ability to take ownership/responsibility of tasks assigned and issues arising in daily and project-related work including respecting deadlines.
Job requirements:
- Ideally candidates should have a university degree in Information Technology
- We are looking for candidates with between 2-5 years experience of database administration
- Working experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft MS-SQL
- Knowledge of High Availability solutions for each technology is an asset
- Experience in IBM DB2 Windows is an asset
- Knowledge of VMWare, Linux and Microsoft Windows Server environments is an advantage
- Experience with backup/restore tool is an asset
- Knowledge of technical investigation is an asset
- Previous experience in a financial institution would be an asset
- Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written) – French considered as an advantage
- Ability to work in team and participate to the out-of-office hour support on-call program
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Working as a part of team is essential
- Initiative taker
- Ability to write and maintain operational documentation.
