IT Specialist Manufacturing
As a member of a cutting edge and highly automated production plant, you will join a multinational team in a new factory using innovative technology and state-of-the-art equipment. In collaboration with a diverse, international team, you will be responsible for the daily operation, support and availability of the manufacturing IT systems which encompasses the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the configuration, upgrade and maintenance of factory shopfloor IT systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure the daily operation and support availability of the manufacturing IT systems in the agreed SLA together with other teams.
- Take part in the implementation of standard systems and processes. Find further opportunities to drive more standardization (removing legacy/non-standard apps/systems).
- Manage the user support and effectively facilitate the use of other established regional or global teams (e.g. Network team, Server Team, Helpdesk) or outsourced services (e.g. MPS)
- Incident Management (Reporting, recording and resolving incidents), Change Management & Configuration management (Requesting, implementing, approving and documenting changes)
- IT Continuity / Disaster Recovery (as part of Business Continuity: Disaster recovery documentation and agreed SLA)
- Follow company standards, procedures and guidelines to ensure IT continuity, mainly around ITIL principles.
- Manage configuration, maintenance and monitoring of the factory server and network systems.
- Ensure a close collaboration with the engineering team on daily projects.
- Coordinate or perform the installation, configuration and upgrade of apps/hardware/OS.
- Determine and authorize use of resources based on business owners’ approvals.
- Schedule and manage backup and restore procedures.
Profile requirements:
- University degree in IT/Electronics or any widely accepted IT certificate, showing fundamental IT knowledge.
- Proven and successful experience in industry.
- Knowledge of IT components (server, network, OS, DBMS, ERP, telecommunication technology, etc.).
- Able to define main control system elements, basic understanding of control systems (SCADA, control network, etc.).
- A good command of English is required, knowledge of French will be considered an asset.
- Awareness of fundamental Project Management principles.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and processes (Incident, Problem, Change etc).
- Sense of priorities to resolve issues, self-initiative.
- Team player, self-learning skills, “can do” attitude, problem solving ability, curious mind.
